2023 Legacy Guernsey

The Wilston Grange football club in conjunction with Legacy Australia and our brand and marketing partner Prodigy+ have continued to collaborate for our annual Legacy Game to drive awareness for Legacy, which cares for the families of Australian Defence Force men and women who have lost their lives or their health as a result of their service.

 

Prodigy+ have once again designed and generously donated the jerseys to be worn and sold to raise money for Legacy Brisbane.

The Design 

Built from the inspiration of Legacy’s 100 years and the traditional Wilston Grange Guernsey, the red Poppies have been purposefully positioned to replace the red stripe - creating the Legacy commemorative Guernsey. The Poppies have been placed in such a way that they are shown growing ‘up and out’ of the design. This symbolises the meaning behind how Poppies grew from ground of the battlefields during the war. We wear the Poppies on our Guernsey as a show of support for the Armed Forces community and many Australian soldiers who lost their lives.

 

This initiative to survive requires people to dig deep and support – this is bigger than football.

100% of all money raised from the Sale of these guernseys will be donated back to Legacy Australia.
